After about 5 miles, on reaching the outskirts of the town, turn right at traffic lights onto A381 signed to Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. Continue up the hill, over the traffic lights, past the left turn for Totnes, then take next left, half-way up the hill, signed Cornworthy, Dittisham and Bow Creek. Follow this road for approximately 3 miles, turn right down narrow lane to Bow Creek and Dittisham. Down the hill to the bottom, over Bow Bridge, follow the road to the left past the famous Waterman's Arms, along Bow Creek, past the equally famous Maltster's Arms through picturesque Tuckenhay, over stream, follow road bearing left, you will then pass a cottage on your left with a sign called Edgecombe Barn. Go straight on, up the hill 1/4 of a mile and turn right signed Tideford and Dartmouth. Bear right at small grassy island, then go past a cottage on your right called Kerswell up the hill, and Lower Tideford Farm is the first property on your left approached by its own long drive.
